Televisions

Current society could not imagine life without a television. It is one of the most important forms of communication. I know that I learn a lot from sitting back and watching t.v. When televisions were first introduced many Americans where not running to steal them off the shelves. Why do you think it took so long for Americans to realize how important this new invention really was?

Well you have to look at it this way, when the television first came out, there were not many channels at all and there wasn't anything really interesting going on. Today, there are over 800 channels, different watching styles (HD, plasma, etc.), so there is more interest in these products.
