Gas Prices

Just two weeks ago gas was almost four dollars and now it's one dollar and eight five cents. I don't know what happened, but I'm happy it happened. I hope stay like this, it only takes twenty dollars to fill up the car.

Well, don't get too excited. OPEC has a nice little history of shutting down and then revving up production in crude oil. It's been an extremely effective policy to keep the world (and largely Americans) from getting too comfortable with any set gas price. The key here, is to continue to insist upon independence from foreign oil even while it is (temporarily) affordable.

Alot of people think its because of the election but why do the gas prices keep going down even after Obama was elected? I love the gas prices being so low. Even if we have to pay for it later on. Eventually things will work themselves out as far as foreign oil. The government is working on a new plan to become less dependent on over seas products.

It's a a roller coaster, and we're going down hill right now, but it will eventually go right back up. Americans think in the short term. If gas companies, and politicians can keep the topic of Gas Prices from being a major discussion in the prsidential election, then once every things back in place with Obama as president, they can crank them right back up again. Then we're in the same situation we were in a couple months ago.
