Gas Prices

Just two weeks ago gas was almost four dollars and now it's one dollar and eight five cents. I don't know what happened, but I'm happy it happened. I hope stay like this, it only takes twenty dollars to fill up the car.

History of Thanksgiving

When I was in elementary I learned that the Indians and Pilgrims shared their ideas and beliefs with one another and that's how Thanksgiving started. Since then things have changed. Most families still come together and shared things with one another, but things are a lot more advanced then it was back then.

Today's Society

Every time the news comes on there are a lot of bad things on there. Why are the crime rates going up? I feel like the government should crack down on the criminals. Over the past couple of years things have been getting worst. I feel like if the laws become more strict then in the future things will be a lot better then they are now.

The new president of the United States

Now that Barack Obama is president. What new changes could we expect? I'm happy to see something new has happened. I wonder what is going on in Obama's head. Never in a million years would we image having a black president. To me color is nothing. All I care about is someone doing the right thing.

What about the Irish?

I've heard about the struggles of Black People through out the ages, The Indians have been persecuted by the whites for a while, got it. Women where looked down on only until recently. These are problems that have plauged Americas past, yet no one has taught as vigorously as the other groups about the struggle the Irish endured upon entering this country. The Irish were persecuted as much as the Black People in their day. They weren't allowed to get jobs, they had to band together to even survive in this country. I don't really know why I don't hear about the Irish struggle in the old and new country, but those people had a rough run that was just as bad as many of the other groups we are taught about.

Gangsta Rap: Whats the real problem

Gansta Rap started around the late 80's and took over the nineties. This music is credited for the inspiration of many killings around America. Now thats bad and all but the real embarrassment is when kids who have no ounce of thug in them attempt to walk with a "strut" and say they're packin a "Gat". This is a blight on our society and I believe it all stems from Gangsta Rap, the genere that creates the most posers.
